BRAHMACHARI
PRABODH CHAITANYA
Br.
Prabodh Chaitanya gave talks on
Bhagavatam on Cantos 1, 2 and 3 in 2005 and 2006 in Beaumont. The talks were
very well received as they conveyed the message in lucid style with great
devotion. His charming style and youthful
personality was instant hit with all age groups. Prabodhji is fluent in
English, Hindi and Gujarati and is proficient in Sanskrit. He enjoys teaching
Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita and devotional texts like Ramayana and Srimad Bhagawatam.
Prabodhji comes with IT background and was working in Orlando when he was inspired
into a life of spirituality after reading Pujya Swami Chinmayanandaji’s
commentary on the Bhagavad Gita and decided to dedicate his life to the study
of scriptures and the service of humanity. While working in Orlando, he served
for six years at Chinmaya Mission Orlando in various capacities and subsequently
went to India to participate in celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the
founding of the Chinmaya Mission. He studied Vedanta for the next two years
under the grace and guidance of Pujya Swami Tejomayananda and tutelage of Swami
Ishwarananda. Since his appointment as Acharya of Chinmaya Mission San Jose in
2004, Prabodhji has been conducting Vedanta discourses in the bay area of
California. He has also conducted Jnana Yagnas, camps, and retreats all over
the United States and Canada. With his affability, sense of humor, and passion
for the Vedanta, Prabodhji captivates his audiences - young and old alike.
Prabodhji has also
participated in interfaith programs, has been interviewed by numerous
newspapers, radio stations, and Ph.D. students of Philosophy from US
universities. He has also addressed social issues in a documentary that depicts
the power of meditation and the philosophy of the Vedanta in solving them.
